has CLOSED DOWN
due to lack of participation.
Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of viewers of the site content, but sometimes only a handful of challenge entries. Up to 2324 people viewed each challenge sign up, but for some reason, never participated!
I, for one, am grateful to its hosts Denise Covey, Donna Hole and Francine Howarth, not only for their considerable effort in thinking up challenges and presenting the blog sites so wonderfully, but also for all the hours spent reading the entries and commenting so well on the individual content, before choosing Featured Writers and Runners Up. (See below for more news)
I would also like to thank them for providing me with a forum from which to develop my writing, especially flash fiction and poetry:
I have started reading Writing and Selling Your Novel, in which the author, Jack.M.Bickham, talks about being professional about your writing if you want to become a successful author.
'The professional writer can always 'turn it on', on demand at a moment's notice. He has to be able to do this if he is to maintain production over time.'
RFW gave me a forum to practice and achieve this very thing.
Thank you Denise, Donna and Francine. For those of you who have achieved NanoWriMo, you will know what this means.
However, writing on demand in another genre might be yet another challenge...
Indeed, Denise now has a new blogsite Write...Edit...Publish which will host challenges, on a variety of genres/ narrative styles including romantic fiction. MORE INFO
Can you write on Demand?
Is this a skill you would like to develop?
